Registration

The secretariat of the Congress will be open in the Pre-Function B and Ballroom Entrance Vestibule, Amal Grand Ballroom, JW Marriott Dubai Hotel:

Name Badges

All Congress participants, official guests, accompanying persons are kindly requested to wear their name badges for the participation in all scientific sessions and social events of the Congress.

Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of the World Forum of Pediatrics and the III World Asthma & COPD Forum will be held in the Amal Grand Ballroom of the JW Marriott Dubai Hotel, on April 25, at 9.30 a.m. Admission by name badges.

Congress Banquet

The Congress Banquet will take place in the Deira Ballroom of the JW Marriott Dubai Hotel, on April 25, at 20.00. Admission by tickets only. Price per person is Euro 140.

Oral Presentations

Oral presentations last up to 20 min, lectures for physicians up to 45 min.

PPT Presentations and Slides

Power Point Presentations (on CD or flash) should be handed to the representative of the Congress Secretariat in advance but not later than 15 min prior to the start of the session.

Poster Presentations

All poster presentations should be displayed in the Pre-Function A and B, Amal Grand Ballroom of the JW Marriott Dubai Hotel according to the Congress Program on April 25–27. Presenters are requested to attend their poster site from 12.00 through 12.30 and from 17.15 through 17.45. The poster size is 75×120 cm.

CME Credits

III WORLD ASTHMA & COPD FORUM - WORLD FORUM OF PEDIATRICS—the Continuing Medical Education (CME) activity—has received accreditation from the: European Board for Accreditation in Pneumology (EBAP) 4, Ave Ste-Luce, 1003 Lausanne, Switzerland.

European accreditation is granted by EBAP following the EACCME standards (D9908) in order to allow participants to validate the credits obtained at this activity in their home European country. Following EBAP’s evaluation, the III WORLD ASTHMA & COPD FORUM - WORLD FORUM OF PEDIATRICS has been accredited by EBAP for 18 CME credits. By accepting the European Accreditation the provider accepts the quality requirements for CME activities as agreed upon by EBAP.

Through a reciprocity agreement signed in 1999 and renewed until 2006 by the American Medical Association (AMA) and the UEMS, EACCME credits will be available to US doctors. EAACCME credits are recognized in Europe and by the AMA towards the Physician's Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EAACCME credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, doctors from the USA will need to contact Marilyn Maldonada at the AMA, telephone (1-312) 464-4941 upon return.

In compliance with the EBAP/EACCME guidelines, all speakers/chairs participating in this program have disclosed potential conflicts of interest that might cause bias in the presentations. The organizing committee of the III WORLD ASTHMA & COPD FORUM (Dubai, UAE, April 24-27, 2010) is responsible for ensuring that all potential conflicts of interest relevant to the event are declared to the audience prior to the CME activities.

Social events

For social events every Congress participant as well as accompanying persons should have official invitations which can be received during registration.
